About us

CHIRAL TECHNOLOGIES EUROPE offers a complete program of chromatography products and services ranging from assistance with analytical method development to cGMP custom separation of multi-tons of single enantiomers.

CHIRAL TECHNOLOGIES EUROPE is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Japanese fine chemical producer, DAICEL CHEMICAL INDUSTRIES, LTD.

Chromatography Products

CHIRAL TECHNOLOGIES EUROPE markets DAICEL chiral chromatography products, identified by the registered trademarks CHIRALCEL® , CHIRALPAK® and CROWNPAK®.

The columns are available directly from us in a range of sizes. They are supplied for applications ranging from analytical methods and quality control to preparative scale separations.

Semi-preparative and preparative columns are increasingly being used by the discovery and chemical development groups of our pharmaceutical industry customers. Our product line also includes higher pressure rated columns for SFC applications.

Bulk chiral stationary phases for production purposes are also available from CHIRAL TECHNOLOGIES EUROPE.

Partner in Development

The Technical Centre located near Strasbourg is equipped to work with customers throughout the entire drug development process - from initial analytical method development to production of the approved, single enantiomer drug product.

CHIRAL TECHNOLOGIES offers a Custom Separation Service . Using their expert knowledge and range of equipment Chiral Technologies can separate both enantiomers from mg to 100 kg scale. The facility complies with cGMP and GLP guidelines, and is equipped with batch and continuous preparative equipment as well as SFC for separation of racemates.

Large scale separations in the ton range including up and down stream chemistry are available from DAICEL's Arai Plant (Japan).

Biotransformation

This innovative DAICEL technology can be applied to the commercial production of chiral alcohols, chiral amino acids and chiral amino alcohols. This technology is a very cost and environmental friendly method of producing chiral molecules. DAICEL has a library of over 50 cloned enzymes that can rapidly be screened to determine suitability for biotransformation. A further option is screening against the DAICEL library of microbes.
