"Compound Name" takes you to a window where all the compounds are arranged in a roll-down list in alphabetical order. Numbers ("1,2-") and Greek letters (alpha, gamma) are ignored. For instance, the Compound Search Name of
alpha-(2,4-Dichlorophenyl)-1H-imidazole-1-ethanol is Dichlorophenyl-1H-imidazole-1-ethanol. Dichloro- is under "D", trifluoro is under "T".
Click on the arrow to the right of the roll-down list to find all the compounds listed.
By typing the first relevant letter on your clipboard (for instance tape "a"), you arrive at the first compound name starting with this letter (for instance "Abscisic acid") followed by all compound names starting with this letter (for instance "Acenaphthenol, Alanine, etc).By clicking on the chosen compound name, you obtain
an Application List containing all the applications for this particular compound.
Click on the Structure window to get the Results. You are not able to type in your own compound name; those that are on the list are the only ones currently available.
